Soft tissue therapy
Soft Tissue Therapy focusses on assessing and treating the soft tissue structures of the human anatomy, including muscles, connective tissues (such as ligaments, tendons and fascia) and the neuro-muscoskeletal system.
The most common forms of soft tissue injuries come from playing sports as well as repetitive movement injuries commonly found in the workplace.
Our highly trained professionals assess, treat and manage individual aches, pains and injuries through a number of ways, including:
- Trigger point therapy to help alleviate tight muscles and ‘knots’.
- Myofascial therapy to improve flexibility and mobility of the connective tissues, alleviate fibrous adhesions, as well as decreasing the severity of scars.
- Manual lymphatic drainage to help reduce swelling and inflammation.
- Deep friction massage to assist in removing adhesions between fascial layers, muscles and compartments; it can also promote healing within tendon pathologies and help decrease pain perception.
- Plus a number of other treatments, including
- Stretching,
- Taping,
- Dry needling, and
- Muscle Energy Techniques
